Bingo!! My filter bracket tilts inward and has the sender hole towards the rear. Sounds like a simple fix to switch to the correct oil filter bracket. Does anyone have an extra one for sale? (I really don't want to cannibalize parts from my numbers matching 1969 engine unless its unavoidable). You can usually get them off e-bay if nobody here comes through.
