I second the recommendation for TriCity Plating. When my bumper came back from
them, it looked awesome, better than jewlry. It was better than anything ever
shipped by Pontiac when they were done with it. They fixed minor tweaks I
hadn't noticed in the bumper jacking slots and they made the bumper smooth and
optically perfect.
Chrome is a tricky process that can result in delamination or deterioration,
so picking a quality vendor is critical. It is not a "dip" and go process, it
is a labor intensive process to clean, copper plate, polish the copper surface,
then nickle and finally the chrome. If these steps are skimped, the results
will disappoint. There is another vendor who I won't name who attends car
shows to exchange bumpers... lots of complaints when the product is in the
weather a year.
A+ for Tri-City. There are other quality vendors too, so don't take my
comment as a strike against others who have been great vendors. I'm just
saying don't shop based on price, as there is a lot of labor in a nice chrome
job and you can expect to pay for what you receive.

KJ,
I had my original bumpers plated by TriCity Plating (http://
www.tricityplating.com/) and they did a terrific job (back side not
finished, but fine). Their prices were good, even considering UPS
shipping (but, like my previous example with the Hurst shifter
chroming, it was a while ago!). If you decide not to rechrome your
convertible header moldings I would love to buy them. Mine had big
rust holes. (I am serious about buying them--I'm up in Sherman).
