Yeah I was thinking about that. Although there is so little room
between the header and the box that I am not sure if it would do any good.
There is only about 1/4".

You might be able to fashion a heat shield from some aluminum or stainless
sheet metal to slip between the header and the power steering box.

Thanks for the advice. I see what you mean about the headers. They
are
a pain the butt. I did get them on and the engine in. The headers are
very
close to the steering box.
