First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... Buy a posidrive screwdriver. The posidrive has a different design than a philips head. The unique design prevents the bolt head shape from "camming" the screwdriver out of the bolt. The flanks of posidrive are squared off rather than angled. The best philips and posidrive screwdrivers I have found are made by Wiha. http://www.wihatools.com/ I have small ones that will undo tiny hardware in a notebook computer and others a bit larger. If they skip, the screwdrive does not get gnawed off like cheap hardware tools do. I don't own one large enough for this special bolt and I tried using my largest philips. As a consequence I ruined the bolts getting them out. If you have already ruined the bolt in previous attempts, take your dremel tool with a mineral cutter disc and make a screwdriver slot in the head. Then put an open end wrench on the square screwdriver shaft. That is how I finally got mine out. If you can save the orignial hardware, you should wait to get the right tool. These correct bolts are hard to find. PB blaster is awesome. WD40 is not really suited for this use. Spray some PB blaster on where it can wick through the rusted threads and come back a day or a week later. Larry

I've had really good results using PB-Blaster on rusted parts. Seems to work really fast. Comes in the usual aerosol can. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Submissions to Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Unsubscribe from Firebird-L: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Help: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/firebird/Firebird-L.html> Classifieds: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/ubb/> Owner Pictures: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/show/> Donations: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/store/cart.mv?999999> FGF Merchandise: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/store>
