My '82 Dodge slant six was also delivered new with a leaking main seal from the factory. I will try to use the Viton seal when I get that far with my project. Larry

I have had a mixed bag. My 400 viton seal is great, but the one on my 428 build would not install correctly. Yes I followed the instructions to the T. it would lock up my crank...
