When I replaced my door seals on 64 t-bird (any buyers out there, need the room for the firebird) it could barely get the doors to close. Within a week the new seals had taken a set and the problem went mostly went away. Now, months later they close pretty much like they did when it had no seals at all, just a little tighter, which you would hope with new seals. Give yours at least a week.
