I gave up on the chrome one last night. After finding my old one and making some measurements, I found the I.D. and O.D. of the fatter part that is suppose to press into the block is simply not for a pontiac. Being stubborn, I reamed out the I.D. to get the internal tube to fit in, step 1 complete. I then started working on shaving down the O.D. so that it could go into the block and realized that unless I have a lathe, there is no way I'm going to be able to trim it down from 0.53 (CI's) to .049" (stock) without getting it out of round and causing myself the leak headaches. I looked through Perf Years catalog and decided to buy a stock one. Q: W/out AC is a 2 piece and w/AC is a 3 piece excluding the dipstick itself. Are the first two pieces, i.e. internal tube and external lower tube, the same for both set ups?
