I bought a repop gas tank for my 69 and it doesn't have the hidden vent...so I
use a vented cap.....it does NOT slosh out...

When I first installed the tank I got a new cap for it (non vented)...it would
build up lots of pressure, especially if you filled up after driving and then
park it ,esp. in summer when the garage got really hot 110F +_....it actually
blew my sending unit gasket...and started leaking when full...after replacing
that , I figured out I needed a vented cap...no problem since...

My 69 seems to have an actual vent that is hidden under the rear bumper.  If it
has a vent there would be no need for a vented cap.  It might be different on
the 67,68 because they had the filler neck higher up.  The 69 with a vented cap
might slosh fuel out since the fill tube is several inches lower.
