When my Muncie is in neutral with the motor running up on jack stands my  
rear wheels rotate.  As somebody stated, there may be enough friction  between 
moving parts that puts a slight torque to the output shaft that makes  you 
think 
it is in gear.  Just a thought.

What do you mean by set "them" all in neutral. This is a  top loader tranny 
without all the levers that come on a muncie, etc. I need to  resolve this 
before starting the car since I have to do the cam break  in.
