All, Looking to change out my 2.56 non-locking differential to a locking 3.55 to get better off the line performance. Also looking at putting in a 200-4R for the over drive gear on the highway. I'm hoping someone can point me to a supplier of the 3.55 or 3.36 locking diff that would fit in my '69 2.56 axle carrier. The car is an original 350 2bbl TH400 trans with AC car, I believe this to be most commonly sold with the 2.56 RE. Also, would I need a different axle? Ring/Pinion gears?
Thoughts? Recommendations? BTW, the car now has a '68 428 w/#16 heads in it.
