I did it on my 67...i need to do it again because I changed rear-ends.. 

But, I gained 3mph in the quarter just by changing my pinion angle..

I bought a cheap protractor from Sears.

With the car on a level surface climb underneath...

Put the protractor on the driveshaft, then on the flat bottom face of the
rear-end housing and write down what you get.

The difference is the angle..

Add shims to get the angle you desire,

I had mine at 6 degrees down...


I am sure there is a youtube video on this as well..
