We went through this when I was having problems with my steering column and 
steering box alignment issue. I flipped them around in an attempt to get the 
coupler pins to stick out of the rag joint an even amount.  There was a minor 
improvement but didn't fix it. Here's the pic to jog your memory.

They were installed as shown in this pic.

I flipped them around to see if it improved the rag joint alignment and then 
put them back. Notice the front bushing is thicker than the rear so this actual 
is the better option for getting the front of the subframe down, which brings 
the rad support down as well. Ironically, my rag joint and fender problem are 
working in opposite directions, i.e. I'd like to raise the subframe to help the 
rag joint and lower it to help the fenders.
