I'm taking stuff apart and discovered that someone broke off the retaining tab that holds the speedo cable housing in place. I'm not sure it's a problem or not but I'd hate to get the whole thing back together and find out it's a problem not having the cable "locked" down. I've only driven the car around the block. The speedo worked but who knows if it would still work right at 70 mph. Does anyone have any experience with the cable working fine without the tab.
