I don't remember how my TH400 was set up but seem to recall I simply unscrewed the speedo from the tranny. You've got me curious since my Tremec has a speedo adaptor that is "held in place" by an o-ring, i.e. pops in place and can be pulled out with minimal effort. I question whether or not it will pop out at high speed. There is no retaining clip or lock down mechanism. Seems like there should be. Sheen > I'm taking stuff apart and discovered that someone broke off the retaining tab that holds the speedo cable housing in place. I'm not sure it's a problem or not but I'd hate to get the whole thing back together and find out it's a problem not having the cable "locked" down. I've only driven the car around the block. The speedo worked but who knows if it would still work right at 70 mph. Does anyone have any experience with the cable working fine without the tab. Does anyone have a speedo head lying around with the tab, head doesn't need to work. _________________________________________________________________ Invite your mail contacts to join your friends list with Windows Live Spaces.
