Have you put on a new lock gasket? Ames p/n FK425. I think the gasket helps center the lock in the mounting hole. If the hole is buggered, you'll need to metal finish it or build a shim/washer. There's a tool for shaping those lock holes. It looks similar to a greenlee punch, but I couldn't find one on a quick google search. Has anyone had a problem with the trunk lock hole being a little too big and the lock actually falling through into the trunk side? I should have fixed this before I painted the car so now I'm stuck with rigging something up. My first thought is a washer w/OD slightly larger than the bezel and grind the ID to fit. Any ideas?
