PeteJD (and several others who said almost the same thing):

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.

1. The pedal feels just like it always has.  (Good or bad?  Who knows.)  There
was just that one "pop" when the light came on.

2. I could not find any leaks.  Never lost a drop.

3. I checked all the hoses again, and none of them are swelling.

4. I didn't flush the whole system when the master cylinder was replaced, but
I did bleed it at the prop valve which should have gotten out the air.

5. Loosening a fitting at the prop valve and trying to reset the switch made
no difference.

So... I replaced the proportioning valve. This time I did flush the entire
system. The light is off and the pedal feels just like before. I guess time
will tell if I really "fixed" anything.

Thanks.
