BTW, why didn't the carpet padding work well for you? Too thick? You were using this as a replacement for both the burlap and thin light blue padding under-materials, right? Thanks, Sheen > Mine had burlap backing with cotton backing and cotton battening sewn on. The > cotton was around 1/4 -1/3 inch thick batting. It was stitched to the > burlap. The burlap has some stiffening wires in it. The hog rings pull > the reinforced part of the seat naterial (from the rear of the material) > against the wire hoop in the spring, the thin cotton batting is cut out in a > U shape for clearance.
