Hi guys, Asking for your experience here. I'm bolting my stock Quadrajet to a performer intake and wonder how to solve the choke. The intake seem to be made for a later style choke where the heat spring protrudes into the exhaust cross-over while the stock '68 choke is just depressed in a pocket. There's a block off plate that comes with the intake. It has a small screw hole where the old style choke can be attached so I guess it's also an adapter. But it leaves half the heat spring in the air so I'm a bit concerned the heat transfer wont be sufficient. What do you say, will it be good enough or should I ditch the heat spring thingy and convert my carb to electric choke? /Niklas ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Submissions to Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Unsubscribe from Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Help: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/firebird/Firebird-L.html> Classifieds: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/ubb/> Owner Pictures: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/show/> ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Submissions to Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Unsubscribe from Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Help: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/firebird/Firebird-L.html> Classifieds: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/ubb/> Owner Pictures: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/show/>
