.........................................................................
Well today I've researched till I was a little dizzy and even more confused, so
I figured I would throw it out here and hopefully here from someones experience.

It's decision time in my build. I need to settle on dash gauges so I can
install the new wiring harness with everything I need all at once. I already
have restored the console and put in an OER set of camaro console gauges to
deal with the hatchet job that a previous owner did to the top of it for me. I
wouldn't mind going with OER reproductions, but that's where my dilema starts.
I want an in-dash tachometer so I would have to use the speedo and tach made
for camaro, which is no big deal to me and it would match the console gauges
perfectly. Except for the vendors all state that the reproductions can't be
used with HEI distributors. I've read a hundred articles on installing tach
adapters and home made filters and "worked with no filter/no problem" and so
forth and would rather hear it from someone who has boldly gone before me.
The flip side of that is just to get a 5" speedo and tach and work out
something to put them in the dash carrier. I thought I had seen someone post
their results on here before but can't find it in the archives. If anyone has
any experience here, please share. I'm really impressed with the looks of the
New Vintage USA 1969 series gauges, but then I lose the turn signal indicators
and brake and fuel warning lights.
Thoughts, suggestions, greatly appreciated.

KJ
