This stack trace shows, that the connection was actually successful,
but getting the server version (isc_info_firebird_version) failed.
Which is weird, as I'm running now FB2.5 RC2 SC too and no error. Can
you check, that there's no 3rd party piece of code intercepting the
data going through socket?
