The refactoring makes much sense. I have recently did a screencast and
presentation and found people struggling with the concept of: "Look at
the tabs. Then look above them. Then look below them" kind of thing.
It breaks visual flow and adds to confusion. The flows from abstract
to specific things, or focus - action/scope - result in a GUI should
not be disrupted or jumpy.
