I want to agree with everyone else on here. The new UI is a great step forward and makes more sense.
I have struggled with instructing new users of Firebug, they do not understand the tabbing. The new UI is logical and at a glance it is easy to understand what is going on (top tab is mode, second tab is an option of that mode, content pane relates to option). Bravo!
