Once I learned how to use Firebug v1.3, I really loved it.
It wasn't to hard to understand.

As a usability guy, I find v1.4 a step back (unfortunately).
It's like a completely new product with functionality moved all
around.

1. The Off button
It's really really bad usability to put a new button where the [X]
button used to be.
Users are used to click the X button to close the panel, not switching
it off.

2. Blacklist
"When you push the Firebug Off button, the selected Firefox tab has
its activation URI added to the blacklist."

Now, why on earth would you do that?
Just because I turn Firebug of, doesn't mean I want to blaclist the
website. And yes, I've clicked the OFF button several times already to
close the panel.

So my question is, where do I find this list?

3. Menu placements
You have menues ALL over the application.

Some functionality you'll find when right clicking the icon in the
bottom RIGHT corner.
Some functionality you'll find when right clicking the icon in the top
LEFT corner.
Some functionality you'll find under Foirefox->Tools-> Firebug

4. Every time I reload my localhos page, Firebug is switched off. I'm
guessing this sis due to the fact that SOMEHOW the URL was
blacklisted. I never activly blacklisted the site. If I want to do so,
I will do this by clicking the blacklist button - which is NOT the
OFF button.

And where do I find this blacklist?

5. In v1.3, there was this great option where I could turn on / off
Console, Script and Net. I have no idea where this has gone now.

Conclution: Don fix it if it works!
And really don't move functionality all around and replacing old
functionality with completely new functionality (like the OFF button).

You must try to stay as consistant as possible. If you in 1.5 yet
again choose to move around on things, I might have to find a new
tool to debug my site. And my guess is that a lot of other users will
do so to :(
