I am experiencing the same with FF 3.5.3 and FB 1.4.3. I'm on Vista Home Premium. Somewhere around the time I upgrade to FF 3.5.3 and then updated FB, FB disappeared. When re-installing FB it says successful please restart FF. And when I do FB isn't there. FB does not show up as an installed extension either.
