I am having similar, but not completely the same issues. I was able to install FireBug 1.4.5 on FF 3.5.5 (Win7), but despite FB showing up in the Add-ons and in Tools menu, the expandable menu under Tools > FireBug won't expand. It's as if the program is installed, but won't work.
I do not have Kaspersky AV. Our office is using ZoneAlarms security suite. Any more ideas?
