Is creating a new profile really the only solution for this problem?
Seems pretty annoying that I will have to migrate all of my profile
settings to a new profile just to get firebug working again.
I'm having the same issue as the OP. Not quite sure exactly what
changed to trigger it to stop working. I do know that in the process
of it not working, S3Fox is also not working. I have tried disabling
each of them separately to see if that corrected the problem with no
luck. If I right-click the bug icon from the status bar, the menu
shows some of the options with incorrectly parsed language keys (i.e.
"firebug.menu.Enable All Panels"). If I go to Tools -> Firebug, that
menu does not expand at all.

Any other suggestions on how to correct this without having to create
a new profile and migrating all of my settings and data over to it?
