Not sure if I understand correctly, but "Open in new tab" is an action available in the Net panel, is that what you have in mind?
Here is what I have just tested: 0) Firefox 5, Firebug 1.8.0 1) Enable the Net panel, Load http://getfirebug.com/ 2) Switch to the Net panel 3) Right click on main.js 4) pick "Open in new tab" -> a new tab with http://getfirebug.com/js/main.js URL is opened Also if I right click on mainl.js following URL is copied in the clipboard: http://getfirebug.com/js/main.js Does this scenario work for you? If not, can you provide detailed steps of what you are doing?
