Hi Jan Just wondering if there's any update on this problem? I tried deleting and reinstalling Firefox 6 twice, and still I get the message "This add-on could not be installed because it appears to be corrupt". I tried creating a new profile also with the steps here: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles but the command / Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -ProfileManager doesn't work for me on a Terminal command line.
If I can't get it working, I'll just see if I can revert back to Firefox 5 somehow. In the Firefox Add-Ons Manager, Firebug 1.8.1 is listed.
