I already got feedback from Antonin, the person behind FireQuery, and he told me that he's currently not actively working on FireQuery anymore. He may find time to fix the bug in the future, though it's not guaranteed. Therefore I advise everyone experiencing issues with FireQuery to disable it for now.
If you miss FireQuery's features, note that parts of them are already integrated in Firebug. Injecting jQuery into a page can be done via the include() command <https://getfirebug.com/wiki/index.php/Include>. jQuery events can be inspected via the *Events* side panel <https://getfirebug.com/wiki/index.php/Events_Side_Panel>, which was introduced in Firebug 2.0, when its *Show Wrapped Listeners* option is enabled. Furthermore the fee-based Firebug extension Illuminations for Developers <https://getfirebug.com/wiki/index.php/Firebug_Extensions#Illuminations_for_Developers> has some support for jQuery UI.
