Oh... I already know about the filtering *buttons*; I didn't realize he was referring to one of them. I'm already filtering with the "Images" button. That works, but it's insufficient for my situation, because there's a humongous list of images on the page. I was referring to my attempts to filter further using the text-entry box, which in Firebug seems to be just search (highlighting one found line at a time). In Chrome's Net panel I'm able to type characters into the text-entry box and it filters on those -- narrows the visible list of images down to just a couple of items -- which I find much more useful.
