I would recommend looking into Symantec's PCAnywhere32 version 8.0. The
program as a whole works very well and I was not able to find a remote/host
application that performed better. It allows you to select the type of
encryption you would like to use and includes the option for using PKCS#7
encryption keys. The application supports connections over modems as well as
a variety of protocols including TCP/IP and IPX/SPX. Since I generally use
modems for connection, I have not tested any vulnerabilities that arise by
using IP through a firewall. If you would like to check it out for yourself,
