If she is running under Window NT - I had this problem and it drove me crazy
trying to track it down. It turned out that for some unknown reason the
dialer was disconnecting. Nothing wrong with the ISP or telco lines - just
NT. Reinstalling NT solved the problem.

There is a strong case for your girlfriend to use your PC and be
near you till the internet connection is on. Good opportunity.
Is she using connection through firewall or direct.
If using firewall, more details are required on type and settings of
firewall.
In a connection to internet (direct or through firewall) , following
are the possibilities of settings -
1. There may be problems with telephone lines (line noise,
disturbance, drop).
2. The settings for modem may not be correct.
3. Internet settings in control panel (if using Windows95/98) may
not be correct.
4. Some loose connections in PC.
5. If telephone line has call-waiting facility, it needs to be set
to off.

Subject: Question !!!!!!!!!!!
Hi there !
Did anybody know how to solve this problem:
My girlfriend has gone in Internet but she experienced
this trouble, when she connects to the Internet all is OK
after 2min or so the Internet connection hangs up.
When I acessed her account from the my P.C it works
fine, the line didn't hang for entire hours. I' ve thinked the
problem was her P.C but no way to find a solution.
Thx for the help
