AFAIK, Marcus left during BlackHat- not DEFCON. I hardly see people who
maliciously attack systems they don't own as 75% of his customer base-
perhaps you have different market research techniques?

What kinds of problems and issues? Without listing any you make it
difficult to evaluate the context of your negative criticism other than
the fact that the CTO of the company seems to think that the industry
needs to stop pandering to people who break the law and that people who
write destructive code should try to write constructive code instead.
No matter which "side" of the issues you fall out on, it's worth thinking
about the implications of lawmakers coming out with laws versus the
community coming out with social stances.
