What books to buy depends on what subjects you are interested in (IDS,
vuln-testing, forensics, etc.). I'm still relatively green when it comes to
dealing with the security world, but I do have some opinions on various good
books for several subject areas. Contact me off list if you'd like my
recommendations for books and websites if no one else points out anything.
Perhaps such a list would be a good thing to build? Hmmmm, have to add that
to my to do list.
Just got back from a SANS conference, myself. I'm very happy with the time
spent there. Make sure to go to as many SANS@night sessions as you can.
They make the conference even better.
