Don't forget that DoS attacks in the wireless space can be difficult to
troubleshoot (Especially RFI, but also frequency overutilization.)

Real point-to-point encryption is the best alternative- with as much
locking down of access as possible.  Generally, very directional antennas
help a great deal in that regard.
