Sorry, I'm a bit behind on my mailing list reading, but last I read Hotmail still had some FreeBSD back-end systems. This is the most recent article that I could find doing a quick search:

Is it really a big deal? Dunno. I had all kinds of things to say about it and decided not to. I have a lot of respect for Laura's knowledge of Windows and don't want to come across like I don't.
