Hi Jason,

QuickFIX is a FIX engine.  It does not have an OMS or pre-configured logic to 
connect to counter parties;  it only handles the FIX connection.  QuickFIX is 
meant to be used as a library in your application.  You need to provide the 
details for connecting to counter parties and an OMS layer yourself if you need 
those things.  QuickFIX is free and flexible.  It can be made to connect to any 
reasonably compliant FIX vendor.
