Hi Jason, You may want to consider checking out the open source Marketcetera project - they provide a complete trading system, and it also makes a great system for testing projects that you develop using QuickFIX. Marketcetera is a great front-end trading system, and it is also uses QuickFIX as its FIX engine. It also comes with a trading/execution engine that is based on QuickFIX, so you can look at the entire system as a good example of how to develop a full-blown trading platform using open source technology.
