This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi Everybody!!
I am enjoying the "First Fjord Sighting" stories. My first introduction to the Fjordhorse was when I worked in a Scandanavian Gift Shop. Fjords were found in books, wood carvings and novelty items. I thought they were cute. Then one day my daughter and I were at the "Horse Expo" in St. Paul and we came upon Kit Davis and her stallion, Lee. OH MY, OH MY!!! I could not believe how beautiful the "Fjord" was in real life!!! As I visited with Kit my daughter went in the stall with Lee - talking to him and petting him -- and Kit just happened to mention he was her stallion, blah, blah, blah. I flew over to the stall to tell my daughter to get out of the stall when I realized she was hanging on him, touching his face and more or less mauling him. WOW -- along with his beauty was a super-dooper temperment. I, too, said to myself " I am going to have one of these someday"!!! My next stop was the Blue Earth Show where I found a gelding that I wanted desperately to purchase - even went to Wisconsin to ride and drive him -- but at the time we were boarding another horse and boarding two was not in the budget. So, 5 years later we moved to our hobby farm and I bought my Fjord. Like many of you - how I wish I had found this breed sooner. Linda in MN where we are having the most beautiful weather. Drove my Fjord yesterday and rode my QH today :):):)
