These two are reputed to be purebred, but until we are able to have the DNA tests done, this cannot be stated as a fact. There is also the possibility that either their sire or dam, or both, are not on file, and if this is the case, they cannot be considered purebred Fjords. We will still be DNA typing the filly who many of us believe is a crossbred. We are hoping, of course, to see if one of her parents are on file which will help us to build a statistical database. The same approach will be taken with these PMU mares, if the UEF is able to gain possession of them for adoption placement. Lynda
