Actually, there is no way to communicate between AVM2 and AVM3 other
than I guess perhaps local connection. You cannot call AVM2 from AVM3.

Yes, but only because 8.5 will include the *both* VMs. But there is a
firewall between them.

I am well aware of the timeline. I have been developing my app for 1
1/2 yrs so I understand the issues. There are pieces of my code that
are not scheduled for release until next year. Also I want my code to
be able to take advantage of 8.5 speed asap.

I think I am quite capable of deciding how to integrate new technology
into my current project. I know you are just trying to help, but I am
*not* some wet behind the ears newbie that doesnt understand the
implications of all of this.
