I dunno, I think the (less than optimal) use of curves is what makes the other 
ones look less convincing. I was actually thinking a better technique would be 
to change the number of line segments dynamically based on how far apart the 
ends are or how much it's moving. But my memory of physics ain't what it used 
to be :)

Thanks Josh, it was pretty much the same sort of techniques that have been
presented here, only difference is the specularity which changes brightness
depending on the angle of that segment of rope... I'll have to dig it out
and update it - it'd be great to convert all the lines to curves huh?
