How about SWF Studio and SQLite? SQLite is a no-install database solution.
Check out Andre Goliath's site: http://www.software-and-solutions.de/ He's put together a SQLite connector for SWF Studio. I don't know what the cost of v12flash will be (it's in beta right now), but judging by the pricing for their Director equivalent, the SWF Studio/SQLite option would be slightly cheaper, and of course you get a lot more than just database features with SWF Studio. Just another option.
