Well we're getting very despondent now. We really want to use flash on
our Win CE device - but it would seem the suits in charge of licensing
are far too busy to get in touch with us. We've been in contact with
Adobe UK, who said they'd 'ping' America for us - We've been in touch
with Adobe US who said they'd 'nudge' the EU licensing peeps. But
nothing, we're still waiting to hear.

Frankly we're extremely disappointed, we have to move quickly in our
market as competition is fierce. We need to do a feasibility study as to
whether flash is suitable for our product, but in order to get the SDK
we have to get licensed - so we fill in all the relevant forms, receive
an automatic email reply with no contact details, no names, not even a
reference number.

So - now we have to put our business on hold, we've spent a fair bit on
macromedia/adobe products over the years, personally I've been
evangelising over flash since version 3 - but it now looks like we'll
have to investigate an alternative technology if we're to make any
progress whatsoever. In my experience a customer doesn't mind waiting as
long as there expectations have been accurately set, but in this case I
have no clue how long I'm supposed to wait, the generated email
(received 31 March 06) simply stated 'shortly'.

I guess the 'appropriate business development manager' in the
aforementioned email is on holiday somewhere?

Sorry for the off topic, but this is more likely to be picked up on this
list, and others may be going through the same grief.

Kind Regards

Mike Mountain
