If you are using loadMovie to load in static JPEGs or still images of some kind, you could initially load them into a hidden movieclip on stage... then when you're ready to duplicate them, you could use BitmapData.draw() to clone them into place.

If you're loading in animated SWFs, then I think you may be out of luck. I'm not aware of a workaround for duplicating loaded movies... but I would also love to hear one! :)
