I saw a really nice CV for a freelancer the other day. She had put her 'personal info' stuff, including skills and experience, into a narrow column on the left, while listing jobs she had done on the right in a table. It solved the problem I've always had when freelancing that the CV tends to get bloated by lost of small jobs, which obscure the major ones (and also the problem that most jobs tend to involve variations on the same skills). She managed to get a huge CV onto a single page, without it looking cluttered or missing out key details. I stole the idea when working with my wife on her CV the other day.
