Unfortunately the image tag's align attribute only supports 'left' (default) or 'right'. So if you need a graphical emoticon to appear in mid-text anywhere the <img src='smiley'> tag alone won't cut it. The image's placement will also wrap to the next line or not depending on where the tag is placed in the block of text (first, last, or inbetween.) There is a workaround but it is a very long way around.
