It took almost an hour to write. I'll try to change clock dividers to
get 6MHz SPI.

Anyone knows a libftdi-dev version tested as working with flashrom?
I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 with libftdi-dev from it's repositories.

Can you try a more recent build from SVN?
I've had similar spurious buffer issues with a ft2232 (from an
openmoko debug board) which were fixed in r1228.
