Dave and Team, Tested the new version and the Thor squelch evaluator is a great improvement for the ARQ exchanges. It now behaves in a similar way to MFSK and PSK modes. This allow to position the threshold high enough for all modes usable with ARQ operations.
Thanks for this prompt change. On Ubuntu 8.04, using /dev/dsp1 with a Tigertronics USB, I had to disable "Use right audio channel" otherwise there was like a background pattern (looked like 50 Hz, our mains freq, but not sure) superimposed to the signal in the waterfall. I really found this option by chance after looking at the connections to the interface, disconnecting the antenna and so on. It was selected when I launched this version of Fldigi. Should be off by default? I mentioned some times ago that I had issues with 3.13AF regarding not decoding an MFSK signal and showing strange waterfall frequencies. I have not been able to reproduce this issue. So for the moment this is off my list of potential bugs.
