Interesting. And my first reaction upon seeing it is that it is crazy. Yes, I know it works but it is there in order to provide error-correction redundancy when the system passing the information is a human. But, frankly, we are past that now. It is possible to preserve the message as a unit using standard alphabets, 8-bit, 16-bit, and above.
